As if I didn't have it tough already managing my time, I now have an iphone.. Of course there is an app for time management, so maybe its something I can work on in between playing angry birds and snapping photos with instagram.
I LOVE instagram.. Seriously so awesome. I have already taken amazing photos. I can't wait to play with it some more. Already I have pictures I want to print and hang in my house..
I have yet try out any gps type apps. I tried imapmyrun during my race, but for whatever reason it didn't sync.. Boo. Tomorrow a game (really the reason I begged for an iphone) called zombies, run! comes out. In order to play you have to run, It measures your pace and distance, you can play music, all while you play the game.. The premise is you are a survivor in zombie apocalypse, and you have missions in which you leave the base and gather supplies. You have the base "radio" to you if there are zombies coming, when to run faster and what not. I'm really excited. to try it out. Its so geeky I know.. but I <3 zombie stuff.
I've found a few other apps like a crossfit app or a healthy recipe app. Super fun. Maybe it will help keep me motivated to keep my butt moving. I'm not really sure how I got along without a smart phone.. On the other hand, it worries me how much I already am addicted to it.
I tried a new pancake recipe this morning that was a huge hit. Both my kids were already eating their breakfast when I decided to use the last bit of my greek yogurt and get creative for my breakfast. My kids started eyeing the pancakes as soon as I put them on griddle, before I could sit down to eat, they were begging for a bite. The batch made 8. I had 2, my kids finished off the rest. I guess it was a hit.. They were too busy shoving pancakes in their mouths to tell me otherwise. I'm glad they were eating something other than their comfort foods. Lucky for me, their comfort foods are fruit (my son could live off blueberries and bananas), cheese crackers, beef hot dogs, and chicken, could be much worse.. Although I'd like them to have a more varied palate, especially one that includes veggies. Now I can add yogurt pancakes to the list. I thought they tasted yummy too so I will be making them again.
Here's what I did..
Greek yogurt pancakes
1/2 cup greek yogurt (I only had vanilla, but plain would work too just add a tablespoon of sweetener of your choice)
1 cup whole wheat flour (I think its pastry flour.. I don't remember as I got it from the bulk bins at whole foods)
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup of water, add more or less to desired thickness
Mix, make, and enjoy!
