oh snap is that cake??

 I have been really trying to lose weight.. Like hardcore. I gained 5 pounds over the holidays that won't get the hint and go the f away.. My hubby and I went on a date last night to maggianio's, which is a Italian restaurant. Yum! I chowed on some salad and pasta, sipped a sangria, and finished it off with cake. Yup, I'm trying really hard to lose weight. I've been really good, up till yesterday.. In my plan, I was *supposed* to have lost weight by now, so I could celebrate the weight loss and valentines guilt free. I've only lost a pound.. ONE stinken pound. My clothes feel a little looser, and I do look more toned.. but not in the "wow have you lost weight?" sort of way... So I'm feeling a little guilty for indulging. Oh well.. not worth dwelling.. just got to kick it up notch and get back to healthy eating..
 In the meantime I have a long run today or tomorrow. I have 13 miles planned, my calves are sore from my workouts this week. Hopefully it won't affect my my run. I'm looking forward to working off some of that pasta.  As well as getting kind of pre-half test. See how I feel and what I can do for the race as far nutrition and time. I had planned an outside run, but its ccooooolllldd and I'm wimp. I also don't have any cold weather running clothes.. so I would freeze to death. I probably should get some better cold weather stuff for the race. I can't phone it in on the treadmill. :)
 Well I'm off to tackle a few miles to work out some my soreness.
