week 2

I started week 2! I met with a trainer the end of last week, who kicked my butt.. For a moment I considered scrapping the program and getting with a trainer. While that's not a bad idea, per say, its not the cheapest by a long run. I was supposed to meet again today, but he didn't show.. So I took that as a sign to keep with the live fit program and see it out for the 12 weeks. If I'm not happy with results, or didn't get the results I want, then I will look more seriously into a trainer. I can't imagine following the clean eating and strength training/ cardio method isn't going to give me results.

I haven't really noticed any differences. I haven't weighed myself, (I'm thinking for the sake of sanity I'm only going to do it at the end of each phase), so I don't know if I have lost/gained any weight, and my clothes don't feel any different... but its only a week in.. so I'm not really sure what results I would see. I do however feel stronger. I'm looking forward to seeing results. After how much I've been lifting, I'm hoping changes are on the way and fast.

Waking up early has been... ehh. I've been doing it! I've even been going to bed earlier, but it drives me nuts to go to bed before my night owl husband. I hope a couple weeks of this will wear on him and he will go to bed earlier (not likely). Its been nice though because I come home from the gym and head up stairs where he is still in bed and we get to quietly chat and spend a little time together before he heads off to work. This has NEVER been a norm and I can count on my fingers how many times we've chatted before having to hit the ground running to start our days. I'm loving the few extra minutes in the morning. I hope he is too.

So I made this shirt last week.. I guess I'm not that skilled with scissors, because while its wearable and cool, its not nearly as cute. However that's not stopping me for wanting to make more. :) But I'm thinking some new gym wear is in order. Because I've mainly been running, all I have are running shorts, and race tees.. that's it. Its really not a big deal, because I'm there to workout, not peacock.. but cute gym clothes would fun.

I'm realizing how easily intimidated I get.. about literally everything.. Its really really stupid.. and as my husband pointed out this morning, its probably the beginning of the "I can't do this" cycle that leads to quitting. So I really need to work on my gym face. lol.. I also need to shake off the lingering thought of, "why am I the only one dripping in sweat?". That was me this morning. I did a short cardio sesh on the stair stepper, and about 10 mins in, I was sweating like a pig. I'm looking around, and all the people around are dry (of course they were on the elliptical). I'm going to take it as me sweating as a good thing, that I'm getting a good workout..  I found the pictures on pinterest and they made me laugh.. I need them on a shirt.. that I can drench in sweat. :)
