So I just moved into the house, and went for my first run. I ran 2 miles.. not too bad. Thursday I did 2.5 I was quite proud of myself.. and then 2 Tuesday and 1 on Monday. I plan on running again tomorrow... although I'm not sure how long yet. Maybe another 2.. The hills are going to kill me here.. At the gym I was just doing flat.. cause its easy.. I don't get the choice here.. its rather hilly. Nothing ridiculous.. but just enough to make me huff and puff.. Its a good thing there are so many hills, as most of the races I'm going to do are flat courses.. but it going to take me awhile. I think I would classify todays run as a bad one just based on how many times I had to slow down or walk because of the hills. My 5 min running 1 walking thing went out the door.. because all the hills fell in the 5 min.. and I'm sore from moving.. and well I guess I did just running last week. haha.
I noticed something yesterday.. I have absolutely no breast.. I thought before my daughter they were ridiculously small.. but now its just plain sad.. You know its a problem if they concave in and your rids are further out then your breast.. its sad. And quite funny.. a few months ago I was a c cup.. now I'm lucky to fit in AA.. I think running is to blame.. I just wish would make my thighs and hips smaller.. haha.. I'm actually not that upset.. who cares.. but I can now see why women have gotten breast implants after breastfeeding.. once your done they deflate.. ok well enough about my breast.. thats a weird topic on a running blog..
The 5k is on the 23rd.. I'm hoping I can just run 3 miles by then.. I'm not too worried about time. My next race I'm planning (if I can get the application in time..) is the Peachtree 10k. I hear its a total blast.. but its quite popular, so they only accept 55,000.... Thats alot of runners. Some friends of mine have run it, and they say bands play on the side.. there are businesses that launch tee shirts at the runners.. and you get the coveted Peachtree road race t-shirt.. which I guess is a big deal. I like t shirts.. So a coveted one is even cooler. The only problem is its on july 4th.. which happens to be in the summer.. in Georgia.. thats not easiest time to run.. you have to escape being mauled by bugs, and lose 100 pounds of water weight from the humidity.. I would take a desert 114 degree day over 90 degree 100% humidity any day.. oh and the the course is on hills.. I don't know how they get more 55,000 people to sign up, but fortunately for me I will be able to hills like no ones business.. haha. well I think thats it. I journaled in my notebook about this last weekend.. but I'm too lazy to go get it.
