grr

we've been hit!!! by another virus!! GRRRR... so it has pushed my runs around a bit.. I did 4 on monday, 3 on wednesday, and I'm doing 3 today.. 4 tomorrow.. and 3.5 sunday.. maybe 4 if I'm up to it.. I'm trying to increase my endurance.. I think thats what is hurting me most. Then monday will be a well deserved day off.. then its hitting the track again till friday... then sat is the race!! I'm excited.. My dearly beloved bought me a mp3!! It won't be here till next week, but oh how happy I am to have one. Of course he had to get one we can watch movies on.. which won't come in handy for running. I'm hoping it will work with that nike+ thing.. although I'm thinking theres a good possibility it wont.
I'm signing up for the peachtree 10k! Jarrod and I talked about it and its a go! woo hoo!! The only problem is its on 4th of july.. yucky.. its going to be soo hot! AND I not going to be able to run in a qualifying race.. sooooo I'm probably going to be stuck in the back of the crowd (which is only like 55,000 people) meaning.. I probably going to have to start like up to 6 miles behind the starting line.. So I have alot of work to do.. it will be a good warm up I suppose.. haha.. walking 6 miles.. then running 6.. I'm hoping I'll be toner and stuff.. as its going to be super hot. and a tee shirt and shorts is going to way to much clothes.. BUT it is going to be fun!! Maybe I will be lucky and can get a better spot and only start like 3 miles behind! Either way I'm told this is not a race to miss! And I don't plan on it.. I suppose I shouldn't start talking like I'm for sure running it.. I have to send in my application. Its wildly popular and they can "only" accept 55,000 entrants.. and I'm not exaggerating.. its really that big. I didn't think there were that many runners in metro atlanta.. but apparently people come from out of state (even out of the country) to race in it. Crazy! It will be exciting to see what all the hub bub is all about. From what I've heard, there are bands playing on the sides.. people giving t-shirts to runners along the race.. baked goods.. TONS of people cheering you on. Sounds pretty cool to me!
