This is my little corner of the web, where I can sound off about figure prep, motherhood, being a wife, and most likely anything else that tickles my fancy.

running partner..
So this kid is at a cross country meet. This deer comes out to watch (?) and spots this kid (takes a liking to him I guess..) and starts following him around. The kid thinks its funny, and starts to race the deer.. before he knows it he's running for his life... haha.. Anyway.. it made me laugh..
So I'm (slowly..) trying to increase my mileage.. I must admit its hard to find time for it.. I have been running in the evening, but with my runs getting longer, I'm thinking I'm going to have to become a morning person.. which goes against how God created me.. I've plateaued at 13- 15 miles a week.. I really want to get it up to 25. My knees seem to not like running 5 days a week.. 4 seems to little, but I don't experience any soreness.. Every week seems to be different.. So I just need to be better at being flexible, and run when I can, instead of trying to schedule it.. which just doesn't seem to be working. When I "schedule" it seems I have to cut the runs short.. I'm also fighting another cold... grrrrrr... Thankfully its a head cold, and isn't affecting me too much, beyond a little congestion. So I'm still running today. I seem to get sick every time the weather changes.. I love Georgia's springs except for the weather.. one day its beautiful 75 degrees.. its perfect.. the next day its barely 50 degrees.. I love my warmer runs. 72 is perfect running.. There is usually alittle breeze, the birds are out, if its humid, its not over powering.. its nice. I know I only have like a month of this before its in the 80's or higher.. Then I need to become a morning runner. A friend of mine was telling me about running in summer out here. She said the perfect time to run was between 7-8 in the morning or after the sun went down. After that the humidity is awful and its too warm.. Stinks cause as of now.. I'm not even up at 8.. I've always wanted to be one of those moms who wake up at the crack of dawn, have breakfast ready, have alone time, and are ready for the day before anyone else is up. I guess running will give me the reason to become one of those moms.. Its just going to take a lot of rewiring in me to be able to function. I think it will be neat to be able to have already ran, ate breakfast, had a little time with God, and breakfast before Amelia is up. Hopefully that can be me.. haha. Anyway. Thats it.. I need to start getting ready for my run.
