As an adult its not nearly that easy. For me its nerve wrecking! It took me a month of getting up my courage to run with a christian runners. Pathetic, I know. I guess its something to work on. We tried a new church a few weeks ago, liked it, and decided to dive in. We went to the group link, to get connected with a small group and met a great group of people. It was so hard though..but once I got over my nervousness, we dove in and had a great time! I'm really hoping this year will be a year of connecting for us. Connections in church, home school, for my kids, other couples and running. Life is so much easier when you've got company. That's one thing my daughter seems to understand at the core. Bike riding, coloring, and dolls are so much more fun when you have another girl to play with. I'm so glad we took that inital step of getting involved in church, as well as FINALLY running with a neat group of people. I'm hoping to forge some new friendships that enrich my life as well maybe enrich someone else.
This is my little corner of the web, where I can sound off about figure prep, motherhood, being a wife, and most likely anything else that tickles my fancy.

connections
Today my daughter lost her best friend. True, they didn't know each other long, but their bond was special and unique. The heart ache lasted for about 2 mins, and tears were shed as she flushed the toilet, and with that the 5 min friendship was over. I love my daughters ability to make friends.. with anything or anyone. Today it was beetle who was hiding out in her doll bathtub, but that didn't deter her from forming a quick bond despite it being a pest in her room. We go anywhere and within seconds Mia has a new bff human or creature. I remember how easily it used to be make friends. "Oh you have a pretty scrunchy. It's pink and sparkly, want to play on the swing?"..
