Goals are good. Duh. They help inspire and motivate you to go beyond yourself and achieve something you've always wanted, find impossible, or know you are capable of. If I don't set goals for myself, I get depressed.. Sounds crazy, but I'm not a motivated person.. although I've known few who are truly motivated to core. If I'm setting goals, even simple ones, like do dishes before baby wakes up; I'm more likely to do it. Its a new year time to set some goals.
Running goals for the year
-Run 2 half marathons (or more if time and money allow)
-train for (then run) the Disney marathon in Jan 2013
-PR on all races (an easy task..as my times are sssssllllllloooooowwww)
-Do tempo and interval training every week and push myself further out of my comfort zone.
My life
-get back to consistently going to church and get involved
-start or join a running group and connect with other runners
-do a special project or go somewhere special every week with the kids (I was good at this, but just got lazy and busy..)
-successfully convert my family over to clean eating at home
I think my main goal for the year is push myself out of my comfort zone in areas. I'm done being comfortable its time to grow and be challenged.
