Today was the first day of week 11. It was a fairly easy day, so if I get a chance I'm thinking of adding a run tonight, because I'm obsessive. Last week was ok. I ran the peachtree road race. So fun! I'm definitely going to try to do it every year. I haven't had that much fun since Disney world marathon. I pr'd without even trying, not by much, but I didn't train!! I won't lie, I kinda felt like a rock star. I really let food slide last week. I didn't go crazy, but I ate more sweetened things and cheated a few times. I feel soooo bloated and blah. I'm hoping by eating good this week and working out hard, I can get back to feeling better.
So I have new progress pics. There's actually difference. I'm getting there. I keep hoping for more muscle to come through. I want results NOW! It better pick up the pace...
I ran the peach tree road race. It was awesome. I did not think I was prepared.. at all. I hadn't run over 4 miles since I was training for the half in feb. SO I has every reason to be nervous. It ended up being super fun, and go figure I beat my previous 10k time. Its still not amazing, but not bad for not training at all. The crowd support is awesome. Its not everyday you get to feel like a rock star. There was a ton to look at, I didn't need music, which for this ADHD chick, is a big deal. I highly recommend it. There's a reason it sells out the way it does.. After the race my hubby and I hiked 100 miles (or 1..) to the marta and snacked on king of pops sea salt fudge popsicle. Sea salt and chocolate is such a good combination after running 6 miles in the hotlanta.
