I took a small break from blogging to get some things in line. I'm sure sooner or later I will write more, but for now I'm going to keep mum. I will say that, while its been far from easy, I've grown in ways that I wouldn't have otherwise. I don't believe things just happen, but they happen for a reason, and I know that reason is the bettering of us and to glorify God. How that will look out of this, I don't know, but I rest in the comfort of God's promise. "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11.

As far as fitness and that goes, I've still been hitting the gym. I've needed to go throw some weight around and sweat. I've reached all my previous goals and I'm working towards new ones. I'd like to lose a little more body fat from where I am now. At this point, though, I'm really happy. I've never been in shape enough, until now, where I feel comfortable in wearing anything. Hard work really does pay off! I still toy with competing, but I'd like to get to a lower body fat before I commit.
My husband has started running with me and it now has become a family thing. Our daughter is running up to 2 miles with us! She won't run the whole distance with me. Mom= comfort, so the moment she feels slightly tired, she immediately stops and I immediately comfort. She also tries to race me, so she tires out really fast. Daddy is able to maintain the right pace and being her daddy, just has to say, "good job, keep going" and she proudly runs on. The little one just chills and eats crackers in the jogging stroller. He goes with me and we usually lap daddy and mia, and end the run together.. and then we eat froyo. haha. I'm proud of my running family! We will be doing a race in the next few months. My hubby is actually starting to enjoy running. On our getaway to Disney world, we went for a run through boardwalk Disney and the surrounding area. It was awesome to share that with him. Disney is hands down my favorite place to run. Even if it is hot and humid, its beautiful and most areas have some sort of theme music. Plus its never boring with the buses, boats, people and sights to see. It does make coming back to runs through the neighborhood seem a little less exciting.
We started school. Its a challenge with the little one, he wants to be involved too, but he's wiggly and distracting. I do like he's just as eager as my daughter is. I'm hoping soon to get him his own home school box put together, so he will have his own "books" and busy work to do. All in all its going well and its really fun! We take our first field trip next week, the first of many. That is what I love about home school. There is freedom in learning. We aren't bound by the walls of a classroom, or rules of a district. My daughter is so eager and excited to learn, she soaks it up. Its contagious, because my nearly 2 year old is the same way. I think I've found my comfort zone as far as teaching goes, its a little more relaxed.. like me. I look forward to growing as a home educator.
